General

It’s a Lifestyle Protocol. The game mechanics — duels, stats, leaderboards — are the interface. The underlying value is a verifiable, on-chain record of your real-world discipline. You’re not playing a game; you’re building a credential.
Every report requires a signature from the Skill Drift Oracle. The Oracle verifies your submission before countersigning it on-chain. In Phase 2, this transitions to a decentralized Jury of high-stat Drifters who review and validate reports, removing the need to trust a single server.
No. Drift IDs are soulbound — they are non-transferable by design. If you lose access to your wallet, you lose your reputation with it. This is intentional: it forces genuine skin in the game and makes your stats meaningful.

Technical

Base — an Ethereum L2 built and maintained by Coinbase. It offers fast confirmation times and low gas fees while inheriting Ethereum’s security.
You have three options:
  1. Bridge from Ethereum using the Base Bridge
  2. Withdraw directly from Coinbase to your wallet with Base selected as the network
  3. Use a fiat on-ramp such as Moonpay or Rainbow to buy Base ETH directly
Any EVM-compatible wallet works with Skill Drift. Tested options include MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Phantom, and Rabby. Connect whichever you already use.
Not yet. A formal security audit is scheduled for Phase 2 of the roadmap. In the meantime, the contracts are built on battle-tested OpenZeppelin libraries and use ReentrancyGuard on all state-changing functions.
Interact with the protocol using funds you are comfortable with until the audit is complete.

Gameplay

Once every 24 hours. The cooldown is enforced on-chain and resets from your last report timestamp. This prevents grinding and rewards sustained real-world effort over short bursts.
You lose 1 Risk point, with a floor of 0. You do not lose any ETH beyond your original stake. If your Risk stat reaches 0, you become duel-immune — no one can challenge you until you rebuild Risk through reporting.
The outcome is determined by a combination of both players’ stats and on-chain randomness:
Your Power = (Focus + Discipline + Risk) ^ 4
Your Win % = Your Power / (Your Power + Their Power)
A pseudo-random value derived from block.prevrandao resolves which player wins based on those probabilities.
Higher combined stats give you a better win probability, but the outcome is never guaranteed. Risk is part of the game.
Yes, with conditions. If you initiated the duel and your target has not accepted within 24 hours, you can cancel and reclaim your full stake. You cannot cancel once the duel has been accepted by the other party.
A 2.5% fee is deducted from all duel pots before the winner receives the remainder. This fee goes to the protocol treasury and funds ongoing development and ecosystem incentives.
